To each of you who celebrated and supported Pros&Conversation — thank you for making this year’s event a major success! We were particularly thrilled to offer in person and virtual attendance options this year. The opportunity to finally bring students, supporters, and staff together IRL felt especially meaningful.

With your help, we brought together nearly 200 supporters to celebrate the power of writing and transformative learning. And we raised over $145,000 to fuel WriteBoston's work!

The money we raise at Pros&Conversation helps us continue to offer free writing opportunities for Boston students as well as coaching and professional development to educators across Massachusetts. (Check out our 2021 annual report for more about our work last year.)

This year, we hosted Pros&Conversation in a hybrid format—guests gathered in person at the UMass club while others logged on from home to watch our debut of three compelling conversations between Teens in Print students and local authors. Our featured authors discussed their lives and writing journeys and asked students about their own.

If you were unable to join, we've got you covered with photos, videos, and more.

In addition to these interviews, we also shared remarks from partner educators and Teens in Print students, as well as staff and board members, on the value of writing and the role of literacy in transformational learning. Hear those perspectives by viewing the full event playlist.
