Summer 2019

Teens in Print Summer Journalism Institute students participated in a series of career exploration activities this summer at 10 Boston companies. We sent our students to ad agencies, real estate firms, biotech giants, and more to expose them to potential future jobs. Over three days, students participated in interactive activities at different companies that gave them a glimpse into the working world for different industries and professions.

TiP's 15th Anniversary Publication Party

June 10, 2019

On June 10, TiPsters young and old gathered at Bella Luna on June 10 to commemorate TiP’s 15th anniversary and celebrate the most recent newspaper publication.

Current TiPsters heard from program alums, who shed light on what they loved most about TiP and how the experience has served them since.

“Not everyone looked like me, not everyone spoke the same language as me . . . but we built almost a kind of family. It’s really important to have experiences like this early on, before you go to college.”
